 Who are these Palestinians?

There has never been a nation called Palestine or a Palestinian people, currency, capital, or language.  Palestine was a term first coined by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135 AD demonstrating his hatred for the Jews.

The last sovereign nation to call the Promised Land “home” was the nation of Israel which was given by God to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  Since 722 BC, Israel has been invaded and “OCCUPIED” by Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Islam (638 AD), the Ottoman Turkish Empire, and then Great Britain with the Mandates issued by the League of Nations following World War 1.  

At no time during Islamic rule was the Promised Land ever called “Palestine.”  The Turks considered it a part of Syria.  (See Map on yesterday’s blog.)

In 1880, this land was largely a Malaria infested wasteland.  Except for a few cities, the land was mostly uninhabited and unwanted.  American author Mark Twain toured the Promised Land in 1867 and described it as “desolate”, “unlovely”, and “cursed”

• “Nowhere in all the waste around was there a foot of shade.” He called the land a “blistering, naked, treeless land.”
• Of Galilee, he said, “There is no dew, nor flowers, nor birds, nor trees. There is a plain and an unshaded lake, and beyond them some barren mountains.”
• His summary of Palestine: “Of all the lands there are for dismal scenery, I think Palestine must be the prince. The hills are barren, they are dull of color, they are un-picturesque in shape. It is a hopeless, dreary, heartbroken land.”
• “If this is the Promise Land – I hope that it is not promised to me.”

Although there has been a continual Jewish presence in the Promised Land since the time of Joshua, Jews from around the world began migrating back in increasing numbers in the late 1800’s because of persecution in Europe and Russia.  As the ‘Zionist Movement’ increased, so too, did the desire for Arabs to move to the Land to counter the Zionist presence.   At that time, one in five babies died in infancy and the average lifespan for an Arab living in this area was less than 40 years, yet the population exploded from less than 250,000 in 1882 to nearly 1.4 million in 1948.  How?  The facts demonstrate that these so called “Palestinians” did not live there for millennia, they moved in over the course of 60 years to counter the Jewish presence.

Note:   In 66 years they grew 560%. Obviously… These Arabs were not born there…. They immigrated in from neighboring Muslim States.   By the was, Yasser Arrafat was not born in “Palestine” he was from Egypt.

As the Middle East had been freed from the tyranny of the Ottoman Turkish Empire, the League of Nations sought to establish new sovereign nations that were capable of self-government.  Originally, modern day Israel AND Jordan had been promised to the Jews for the new Jewish state.

Even though over 95% of the Middle East was set aside for Arabs and just a small portion promised to the Jews, the Muslim world rebelled and rioted murdering Jews and causing great unrest in this area governed by Great Britain.  In an effort to appease the Arab world, this original mandate was divided and over 80% given to form ANOTHER Arab state with just a small section between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea now promised to the future Jewish state.

After World War 2, the League of Nations had disbanded and was replaced by the United Nations.  Attempting to appease the Muslim world, the UN AGAIN divided the land promised for a future Jewish state with UN Resolution 181.  This land which was called “Palestine” by Great Britain, but the Arabs loudly objected to the idea of a separate nation called Palestine saying that this land was part of southern Syria.  According to the Muslim world, there was no Palestine (See Ottoman Map from 1801, top).  Resolution 181 specifically divided the land between “Arabs” and “Jews” (no Palestinians existed).  This effort to appease the Muslim world was soundly rejected by them.

The world had accepted without controversy the establishment of Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon (all previously occupied by the Ottoman Empire), but when Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948, she was immediately attacked by five Arab neighbors.

Arabs living in Israel were told by the invading Arab armies to leave their homes until the Arab nations had wiped out the Jews.  Then, they would be able to return to all the land. However, Israel won the war.  Afterward, these fleeing Arabs were not granted citizenship and allowed to assimilate into other Arab nations.  Instead, they were put in “refugee camps” and have been used as political pawns ever since.

After the war for Israel’s independence, Jordan ILLEGALLY annexed the West Bank and half of Jerusalem.  Egypt ILLEGALLY annexed Gaza.

For nearly nineteen years, Arab nations illegally occupied the West Bank and Gaza.  There was no call to establish a 57^th Islamic state in these areas and call it Palestine.  In fact the PLO was started in 1964 while Arabs still illegally occupied these lands in question.

In May of 1967, the Arab nations had gathered again at the Israeli borders intent to destroy Israel.  The combined nations of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Saudi Arabia had over 500,000 troops, 3100 tanks, and nearly 1000 aircraft.  President Nasser of Egypt declared, “Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. The Arab people want to fight. We will not accept any…coexistence with Israel…Today the issue is not the establishment of peace between the Arab states and Israel…The war with Israel is in effect since 1948.” Syrian Defense Minister Hafez Assad boasted, “Our forces are now entirely ready … to enter into a battle of annihilation.” 

Miraculously, Israel won a resounding victory uniting Jerusalem and taking the land promised them originally in 1920 by the League of Nations including Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel has negotiated and given away land for peace at least six times and every time the Muslim world has responded with only greater acts of terrorism.

Koran 8:39 “Fight them until there is no more fitnah (unbelief, resistance to Islam) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone.”

Muslims fear that Israel will increase their borders into Saudi Arabia

We have established that:

• Moses was in Midian working for his father-in-law Jethro  Ex. 3:1
• While in Midian, God spoke to Moses at the Mountain of God (Horeb) and tells him that he will come back with the Children of Israel to that location when they leave Egypt.  Ex 3:12
• The traditional location for the crossing in the Suez Canal and the Mt. Sinai being located in the Mt. Sinai is incorrect.
• The crossing of the red sea was through the Gulf of Aqaba, putting the Hebrews in Saudi Arabia.
• The location of Mounts Sinai and Horeb are in Midian inside Saudi Arabia
• Israel left them mark with petroglyphs of sandals, menorahs, and ancient Hebrew letters on rocks all around Saudi Arabia.
• The petroglyphs of sandals is reference to the promise of Jehovah God to Moses in Deut 11:24.

The Christians and the Jews may have some doubt to the location of Medina, Jethro, Mt. Sinai, Mt. Horeb; but it has never been a question for the Arabs in Saudi Arabia.  Muslims have always believed the location of Medina was in North West Saudi Arabia.  They are also aware of these petroglyphs and they secretly admit that Moses and the Jews wandered around Saudi Arabia for 40 years.  They are also aware of the promise of Deut. 11:24.  Even Osama Bin Laden made reference to this in one of his tapes.

When he was in hiding, Osama Bin Laden released an audio tape in January 2004 to Al Jazeera TV

The translation reads:
….And what will the rulers do if Israel starts to expand its unfair, unjust and false settlements — which the leaders do declare as such — beyond its currently known boundaries, and says, ‘Our borders extend to Medina’? What will the rulers do but yield and succumb to the American Zionist lobby.

Notice that he suggest that Israel will expand their borders into Saudi Arabia and claim one of their holy cities?

One of the reasons why Muslims will fuss about Israel being in the promise land is that if they are kept occupied struggling over what the have currently, they are unlikely to put their attention to expanding their boarders and claiming what God has given to them.

So let’s look at the borders Israel controls today…. The Muslims claim that it is Israel who is the foreign occupiers.  However, the last sovereign nation to call the Promised Land “home” was the nation of Israel.  All the time that the Ottoman Empire controlled that area, they called Canaan land Syria. Israel Left their Mark in Saudi Arabia

Bellow is an interesting clip dealing with my topic for today.  I can’t vouch for all the things the Caldwells say but they are simply eye-witnesses.  Pay attention to the petro-glyphs of sandals that are found all around Saudi Arabia.

Remember the promise given to Moses by Yahweh.

Deut 11:24  “Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.”

I can imagine as the Children of Israel are wondering around the Wilderness, they would be thinking of this promise.  Every we walk with Moses, this land will belong to our Nation.  If I were one of them, I would be minded to leave my mark to say, we were here and one day we are coming back to claim what is ours.

What is the symbol that would be relevant to that promise?  The soles of your feet, the mark of your sandals.  I can just see the Jews itching into the rocks the image of a sandal as they passed through the land.  Thereby making the statement, “We were here.”

Back to the location of Midian for a moment….

There may be some question in Christian and Jewish minds as to the location of Midian and the Mounts, Sinai and Horeb.  However, there has never been doubt for the Arabs.  They have known and always celebrated that Mt. Sinai and Horeb are in Saudi Arabia and they have erected fences to keep the world out.  Thankfully, some from the West have been able to sneak in and take photographs of the evidence.  The video above is about the discoveries that Jim and Penny Caldwell have made in that area.

Islam celebrates two people from Midian and they are called Arabians – Shuayb the Prohpet & Jethro the Father-in-law of Moses.

Note:   Some writers make Shuayb to be the Arabic name for Jethro.  From my research, they seem to be different people as Shuayb lived in the time of Abraham.  Even if he lived 4 generations after Abraham, I can’t see him being a live during the life of Moses.  It would put him to be 500 – 600 years old.

•   He is one of the few Arabian prophets mentioned by name in the Qur’an, the others being Saleh, Hud, Ishmael and Muhammad.
• Shuayb is mentioned no less than 11 times in the Qur’an – He is supposed to of known Abraham and lived 4 generations after Abraham.
• Called “the eloquent preacher amongst the prophets”
• The Qur’an states that Shuayb was appointed by God to be a prophet to the people who lived east of Mount Sinai, the people of Midian.

One more piece of evidence that Mt. Sinai is located in Saudi Arabia comes from the Apostle Paul in Galations 4:25

Gal. 4:25 “For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.”

 Imagine the Implications

Based on the promise of God to Abraham, Moses and Joshuah, Saudi Arabia belongs to Israel.  This means the Cities that are holy to Islam, like Mecca and Medina and all the rich oil fields in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, are promised to the decedents of Isaac, Jacob and Esau.

The Promise is in Deut 11:24

“Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.”   Deut 11:24

• The Southern boundary – The Wilderness
• The  Northern boundary -  Lebanon
• The Western boundary – River Euphrates
• The Eastern – Uttermost (Mediterranean Sea)

This would include:

• Saudi Arabia
• Yemen
• Oman
• United Arab Eremites
• Kuwait
• Western half of Iraq
• Jordon
• Amman
• Lebanon
• Southern part of Syria

 A massive amount of land was promised to the children of Israel by Yahweh.

Originally Promised to Abram

Ge 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Reaffirmed to Joshua after the death of Moses

Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

 Now let’s look to see where the feet of Moses walked in the Wilderness.

When Moses fled from Pharaoh he ended up in Midian.  

Note:  Some Bible maps have Midian located in between the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba.  Those from Arabia have always known that ancient Midian was located in the North West region of what we call today Saudi Arabia. Maps drawn before the 1800′s also place Midian on the West side of the Gulf of Aqaba.

The mistake of placing Midian and Mt. Sinai on the East side of the Gulf of Aqaba was made in Western minds because we assumed that Moses crossed the Red Sea through the Gulf of Suez.  However, we have come to discover that the crossing of the red sea was not in the Suez but rather the Aqaba which puts Midian in Saudi Arabia.

Moses was in Midian with Jethro the Priest.

While in Midian (Saudi Arabia) Moses met with God at the Burning bush.  Ex 3:1

 ”Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.”   Ex 3:1

This mountain of God is where Mt. Horeb and Mt. Sinai are located and God told Moses in verse 12 that when he leads the children of Israel out of Egypt, he will bring them back to this mountain.

“And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.”  Ex 3:12

Let’s consider the evidence that Mt. Sinai and Midian are located in Saudi Arabia

First – The Apostle Paul said it was there.

Galations 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Second – recent discoveries:

There are two sources that have uncovered that the Israelites crossed the Red Sea through the Gulf of Aqaba and that the Wilderness they wandered in was the Arabian Peninsula, which includes all the nations listed above.

1. Ron Wyatt – The Aqaba Gulf – (Red Sea) Finding Egyptian chariot axles and wheels.
2. Jim & Penney Caldwell & Aaron Sen & Prof Lennart Moller–at Jabel el Lawz in Saudi Arabia.

• Split Rock – 60 feet tall and 40 feet wide – clear erosion by water.
• Flat Alter – with Petra-glyphs (rock carvings) of Egyptian style drawings of Cattle.  Also a Hebrew Menorah is found at the foot of the Mountain with Petra-glyphs of Cattle and other things.
• Broken Pillars were found -  Ex 24:4   And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
• Mass Grave Yard – where the 3,000 Hebrews died for their sin against God.  Ex 33:28
