Yet Another Dilemma for Muslims

Listen Here to Today’s Broadcast

 Listen to Bible Prophecy

Sam Shamoun weighs in on yet another problem for Muslims.

Islam claims that the Old Testament was corrupted by Jews. This is outrageous and Muslims have not been able to provide any evidence to back up this claim except show that it differs from the Qur’an.  If their claim is true, why would Jews leave passages that hurts Jewish teaching but helps Christian doctrine?

Sam points out two verses in the OT that hurts Rabbinic Jewish teaching but supports strongly Christian teaching.  They are:

Isa 9:6-7 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.    7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Psa 110:1  “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”

Sam explains how these two passages strongly proves the divinity of Christ and that Christ is the Messiah.  This of course harms rabbinical Jewish teaching but strongly supports the claims of Christianity.

It also debunks the Muslim’s assertion that the Jews corrupted the OT.

The Old Testament and the New Testament are pure and guarded from corruption and even the Qur’an says as much.  (See Monday’s broadcast)

Advice to Heed

Bernard Lewis
From Bernard Lewis - Princeton University

“The forces working against us are very powerful and well entrenched. And one of the greatest dangers is that on their side they are firm and convinced and resolute. Whereas on our side we are weak and undecided and irresolute. And in such a combat, it is not difficult to see which side would prevail. I think the effort is difficult and the outcome is uncertain, but I think the effort must be made. Either we bring them freedom, or they destroy us.”
