Listen to today’s broadcast
Well, as you know I was at the “Million Muslim March” yesterday. You also know that I was quite upset of with the Muslims for thinking they could host an event on this date (9/11) saying the U.S. Government and the Jews were responsible for the horrendous attack that killed nearly 3,000 people 12 years ago. They claim that Muslims were the victims, not Americans.
The Bible says, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;” (Isaiah 5:20).
The message on their website is different from the message they brought at this event. On their website the message is that we have nothing to fear from Muslims. They want us to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion and that non-Muslims have nothing to fear from them. They want to make our government the evil party in this act and say the Muslims are the good, the righteous.
I went to this rally not wanting them to get away with this claim. Anyone who claims they will have a million people at an event is making a bold claim. This has been tried before. Louis Farrakhan tried to get a million Muslims to march in Washington DC a number of years ago. The result was pitiful, they only had a few thousand show up. But, if there are thousands who show up it is still significant.
I was expecting a few thousand to come, but as I said yesterday, if there were 10,000 I would eat my hat. Well I don’t have to eat my hat. I was very surprised about the numbers. To be generous the number of people who came to the rally to participate in it, not counting people like myself who had a news interest, or those who came to protest the event, I doubt if there were 50 people, including the speakers. Here is a picture of the event.
On the other hand, There were at least 50 people there who came to protest or give the Gospel to Muslims. There were some who came to offend the Muslims. They had signs with statements they knew would be offensive. There was nothing on their signs that was untrue, but I question the value of trying to offend. Remember, the biggest victims of Islam are the Muslims. We need to lead them to Christ, not offend them.
This whole story has taken our attention away from where it should have been on this day. We should have been focusing on the victims of the attacks on 9/11. We had nearly3,000 killed 12 years ago and four more a year ago. This is something we should never forget.
I did get to speak to MD Rabbi Alam. He is the one who organized this event. When I asked him if I could interview him I was willing to walk with him for a while because I thought that he would be going on the march. What surprised me is that he did not.
He came to the rally dressed in his army dress greens. He claims to be a US Army Veteran. Here are his Military Claims:
Alam was awarded many medals and Ribbons: Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon and many letters of Recommendations as well as many different awards.
Alam was very active within the Army Community Services, Family Readiness Groups and Army Community Ethnic Enrichment Programs. Alam was highly motivated & and was honorably discharged. 2005 Alam finished 1st Graduate Degree MS in Military science.
Interestingly, we were interrupted twice during the interview by military people stating that his badges and his ribbons were inconsistent. There was actually a bit of a confrontation afterwords. We will look into his background, and if there is anything of importance we will get back with you.
He ran for Secretary of State in Missouri and claimed to get 41,000 votes. I checked this out and he did run, but he only got 37,390 out of 285,020 votes cast. His opponent got the other 247,630.
Ballot pedia gives his political resume. In this resume he claims the following degrees:
- Khulna Zilla School
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, National University (1996)
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, National University (1997)
- Master’s degree in Computer Information System, University of Phoenix (2005)
- Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, University of Missouri-Kansas City (2008)
- Teacher Certification, Secondary Mathematics (2008)
- It says he is working on a Ph. D at the University of North Texas
Let me say a bit about this idea of fear since that was the expressed reason for this rally. Alam says that Muslims should not have to live in this nation with fear.
First of all, that was not the message that was given at the rally. What they spent their time talking about was the supposed theory that 9/11 was a U.S. Government/Jewish conspiracy to stir up hatred for Muslims.
In my interview with Alam I was trying to get more information about the supposed persecution of Muslims in America and why Muslims must live in fear in this country. If there had been something coherent from the interview I would share it with you. He would not make any clear statements, he was all over the place with his answers to my questions. If there was anything coherent in the audio from my interview with him I would play if for your, but there isn’t.
Let me analyze what he says on his website. Here are a couple of quotes:
“Muslims, too, live in fear – of being dragged off in the night to Guantanamo and tortured, simply for the crime of being Muslim in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“There is no reason for Americans to be afraid of Muslims,”
Let me remind you of who the organizers of this march associate with. First they associate with is Viva Palestina. This group fronts itself in America as a charity raising money for the people in Palestine. However, the Investigative Project on Terrorism says Viva Palestina campaign is more about supporting and legitimizing Hamas than it is about providing aid to the needy.
Another person involved with this march, and who will be on the platform today, is Imam Mahdi Bray. He is from Washington DC and he is a high official in the Muslim American Society (MAS). This is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. This was demonstrated in court by federal prosecutors in 2008.
You can read more about their associations in yesterday’s post here.
What he is saying is that Muslims have every reason to be afraid of non-Muslims, but Americans have no reason to be afraid of Muslims. Does he think we are stupid?
There is no reason for Muslims to fear in America. Our government and our media bend over backwards to keep from offending them. But, there are reasons for Non-Muslims to Fear Muslims. Here is a list of just a few:
- The shoe bomber
- Ft. Hood
- Boston Marathon
- According to the Religion of Peace website 3,101 were killed in America in 70 Jihadist terror attacks on our soil. This fits with the Islamic scriptures.
Surah 8:12 “…I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”
Who should be afraid of whom? Americans are afraid of Muslims! Terrorism works!
When I go through the airport security checks, when I take off my shoes, when I open my luggage so it can be examined, I say “Thank you, Muslims.”
In America we are afraid of offending Muslims. We are afraid of sharing the Gospel with them. We fear that we may be killed for our faith. If we speak out we are afraid of being targeted by a car-bomb.
