Christian Apologetics toward Islam and Missions to Muslims

Persecution Of The Godly

Listen to today’s broadcast:

burned-at-the-stakeThere are three main focuses to this ministry. The first is to resist Islam because if we don’t we will loose our heritage and freedoms. Islam is the enemy of democracy, freedom and other things that we value here in North America.

I speak from personal experience. During the many years I lived in Europe I have watched the advance of Islam and the decline of freedom. I know what Islam can and will do in a western culture if given time.

The second objective of our ministry is to rescue Muslims from Islam. I often tell you, don’t blame the Muslims for Islam, they are the victims of this evil ideology. We must rescue them because Islam is sending them to Hell. They reject that Jesus is God. They reject the teaching that Jesus died on the cross. If He didn’t die on the cross then He certainly did not rise from the dead. If you don’t believe Jesus is God, if you don’t believe in He died on the cross for our sins and He rose again for our justification, you don’t believe the Gospel. Without the Gospel you will die in your sins and spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15). Islam is deceiving 1.6 billion people today. How many have been deceived since this evil ideology was founded in the seventh century? This is our second objective. It is not less than the first.

Our third objective is revival. We must understand that revival only follows repentance. Repentance is usually brought by God’s judgment. The natural man, the old man, desires those things that bring pleasure to the flesh and we don’t give them up easily. Christians can become carnal and given to worldliness. God’s Word tells us to flee worldly lusts and seek God’s face.

We can’t depend on Washington and politicians to save us because they don’t have the answers. Parliament, for those of you in Canada, doesn’t have the answer. Science and business don’t have the answers either.

Only God has the answers for us. The answer is not in the White House, the answer is in the church house. It is in the Book, the Word of God. Revival will only come when we repent and turn to God. If we do repent God will restore us (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Revival is a big part of our ministry. On weekends, when I am preaching, I usually preach on the need for revival. I try to bring people’s focus to the coming judgment.

Persecution is coming! Of late I feel that the Lord is changing my focus. I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet, but I can tell you that comparing Scripture with what I observe around me, I can only believe that we are in those latter days in which persecution will come upon the people of God.

I want to begin to prepare you for what is coming. We are already seeing Christianity becoming the target for persecution. We see it in the United States, in Canada, and in the rest of the western world. Christians are now being confronted in ways that we never would have imagined.

For so many years we have enjoyed living in countries based upon the freedoms that come from Christian precepts. We have dropped the ball and we have forgotten what made us great. As a result we are losing our heritage.

We need to remind ourselves that God has warned us that if we will live godly we will suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12). If you don’t have persecution in your life for standing up for God then you are probably not standing up for God. You are probably going with what ever is acceptable in your society. If you stand for God the world will not be your friend.

We are becoming more polarized in this nation and in the West in general. Those who stand for God in our society are being persecuted, mainly verbally, with degrading labels and innuendos. We are seeing legal challenges to the things of our faith. We can expect to see this increase as time goes on if we don’t repent.

We nee to be prepared for what is coming. God warned us clearly in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 where He said, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Then in verse 5 He says, “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. ” The command is to watch in all things and endure afflictions because they will come. He continues by telling him to keep on with his ministry in spite of all of this.

A sign of the last days is that people will not endure sound doctrine. The will look for teachers who will tickle their ears, tell them what they want to hear, and not warn them of what is coming.

Their teachers will turn their ears from the truth and turn them to fables and lies. This passage describes what is going on in our world today. We are being taught that if we live righteously for God we will be blessed with health, wealth, and only good things. We are taught that if we don’t live right we will suffer all kinds of problems in our lives. We are told that poverty and sickness are caused by our not having enough faith.

The modern idea of Christianity is that if I live right and hold on long enough God is going to give me blessings in all areas of my life. He may let me go through temporary problems, but in the end my life will only be filled with good things.

God sometimes allows afflictions in the lives of His faithful people and sometimes chooses not to deliver them. If you doubt this just study the life of Paul. What we must remember is that no matter what God allows in your life, it is for His glory. Our testimony to the glory of God is often greatest in our suffering. I want to start making it clear to my audience that as persecution comes God may not choose to deliver us from the afflictions.

Something that bothers me when I look at prophecy is that I don’t see America as a force in the last days. I have heard some great preachers and teachers trying to find us in prophecy, but to do so they have to stretch the Scriptures. It is not something you see naturally as you read the Bible. I think one of the reasons this is done our pride. Is it that we can’t believe that our greatness can be so diminished that we are not a force in the end times?

We must ask ourselves if this means that America will be destroyed. Who would have thought that the great Roman Empire would have fallen, but it did. In the days of Romes greatness that would have been considered foolishness. Some have compared the mistakes that Rome made that led to her fall with what is going on in America today. God may not deliver us!

God may bring judgment upon us in the West, I think it has already started,. How will we endure it. I want to prepare you for what is coming. Some of you may say I don’t want to listen to this kind of preaching, but we all need to listen.

I hope I am wrong and God will restore us. I do know that if we don’t return to Him, He will not. I believe that God will bring us to the brink of destruction, and we will repent. In order for this to happen God will have to break us first. I believe that if we do repent God will restore us to blessing. It may not be the same as it has been. We may not enjoy all of the material blessings this nation has known. I believe that it will be spiritual blessings because we will realize that all of the material things are not really that important.

What is important is that God gets the glory in it all. We need to learn that this life is not about us, it is about God and His glory.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

What really matters in all things is that God gets the glory!

This next week I will be doing a lot of traveling so I have made arrangements to play a recording that has had a profound effect on my life. I want you to listen to this Scottish preacher named Duncan Campbell. He is dead now, but in 1949 God used him in a great way on an island just off the Scottish coast. God used him in a revival that lasted for 3 years. I had the privilege of meeting a lady who was there.

I want you to hear the testimony of Duncan Campbell and what happened. I want your heart to burn for that kind of revival here in North America. That is what I am praying for.
