One think that pleased me was to hear Prince Charles speak out against the persecution by Muslims of the Christians in the Middle East. Usually he takes a more politically correct stance. It was good to hear someone of his stature bring attention to this problem. We need to be praying for our Christian brothers and sisters in that part of the world. We should expect this kind of behavior from those who follow the teachings of Muhammad.
Islamic fundamentalism is growing in the world and we need to recognize it and fight against it. Fortunately most Muslims in the West don’t understand Islam. Many of them have come to the west to escape the tyranny of the Muslim countries. While not every Muslim is militant, every Muslim needs the truth. They need to be brought to the Lord or they will spend eternity in Hell. If we don’t bring them to Christ, who will?
If the Obama Administration were to get a report card on its Middle Eastern policy I am afraid it would get an F for failure. This administration’s policy has increased the tension in that part of the world. Islamic nations are starting to be concerned about the danger from other Islamic nations.
Lets look at what is coming out of Saudi Arabia, which is an Islamic nation. Recently the Saudi ambassador to Britain wrote a commentary published in The New York Times in which he said the West’s policies on Iran and Syria are a “dangerous gamble” and Saudi Arabia is prepared to act on its own to safeguard security in the region. He also took a jab at President Barack Obama when he wrote “for all their talk of ‘red lines,’ when it counted, our partners have seemed all too ready to concede our safety and risk our region’s stability.”
We need to understand that the deals our State Department is striking with Syria and Iran are not good for the region. Saudi Arabia is very concerned and is now telling us that they are ready to go it alone against Iran if necessary.
Why should America be the policeman for the world? The rest of the world keeps telling us to quit sticking our nose in their affairs. This administration’s policies have made it much more likely that we are on the verge of a major war breaking out in that part of the world.
The Saudis have become masters at getting others to fight their wars for them. This is what they have been doing to America. Let’s let Saudi Arabia deal with the problems. Why should America have to deal with it?
I believe we have to stand behind Israel, but why do we need to stand behind Saudi Arabia? They have the money to fight their own wars. The only reason we stand behind them is that we get so much of our oil from them. We don’t have to get our oil from them, we can get it from ourselves. The Saudis are using the money we pay for their oil to bring their propaganda back into our country.
This new development (Saudi Arabia saying they may go it alone against Iran) is a dangerous thing. It may, however, be a good thing for America.
Saudi Arabia is mostly Sunni Muslim while Iran and Syria are mostly Shiite Muslims. These two sects of Islam have been at war with each other for 1,400 years. It is time we let them deal with their own problems.
Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, who regularly appears on national and international outlets including CNN, BBC World TV and Radio, ABC, Aljazeera, Fox News, CTV News, RT, CCTV America, and France 24 International. Is a true academic. He was born in the Middle East. His father is from Iran and his mother is from Syria. He came to the U.S. as a refugee and came into poverty. At one time he was homeless. He won an academic award, he bettered himself through education, he is a graduate of Harvard and he serves on the board of the Harvard International review. He is also president of the American International Council on the Middle east.
He recently wrote an article in Front Page Magazine. Here is some of what he said in that article:
Thanks to the Obama administration’s uninformed and flimsy foreign policy decisions, the year 2013 has distinctively been a blessing for the independent Islamist parties and fundamentalist Islamic governments throughout the Middle East and the world…
If the current foreign policy moves by the Obama administration continue on, 2014 may likely mark other groundbreaking and exceptional turning points for fundamentalists and Islamists in the region and across the world. The balance of power has already considerably shifted in favor of the Islamists in the region in 2013. They have been capable of remobilizing, organizing, and fossilizing their establishment, ideology and power.
If this trend continues, Iran is more likely to declare itself as the first ideologically-Islamist nuclear-armed state.
He is telling us that the Middle East is being taken over by the fundamentalist groups. He states that it is due to the pour Middle Eastern policy of the Obama Administration. In stead of breaking down the Al Qaeda structure, we have given them the opportunity to grow and build up their organizations. They are stronger today than they were years ago.
The most important things are what is going on in Iran. After the so-called “landmark nuclear deal” with Iran in Geneva last month Iran announced just two days ago that it is developing new centrifuges. This is spitting in our face.
Remember, they came to us with their hat in their hands because the economic sanctions were working. We had the opportunity to shut them down. In stead we seem to have enabled them because we released money and loosened our hand on their throat and demanded little in return.
This recent announcement show what they really think about us. They see us as weak and unable to deal with them.
The announcement also stated that they have a total of 19,000 centrifuges. This was a revelation because in August Iran said it only had 18,000, which included 1,000 advanced centrifuges. So, not only do they have more than they told us, they are also developing new ones.
I am not saying this because I have a problem with Obama. I don’t care who is in charge. I don’t care if it is a Democrat or a Republican. I don’t care if it is a white man or a black man. These things don’t matter. What does matter is that our government handle these things correctly and that they understand the danger that is there.
The present administration does not understand the danger and has not handled the situation correctly. They are feeding us a bunch of boloney and we must reverse this situation.
As for Saudi Arabia going it alone, it is doubtful that they are really able to do so. Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis (USA-Ret.), a senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council, is skeptical about the Saudis’ ability to go at it alone against Tehran. “There’s only so much they can do alone because the Saudis typically don’t fight very well,” he explains. “So what they’ll probably do is hire other nations’ mercenaries.”
