This week I want to talk about the persecution of Christians at the hands of Muslims. I get a lot of information on the killing of Christians, their churches being burned, their homes being destroyed, their women are being raped, and unspeakable things are being done to these Christians. It has become so common place that I reached a point where I didn’t think anything of it any more. I am upset with myself because I allowed myself to get to this state. I have fallen under so much conviction and anguish over this that I have had a number of sleepless nights. This has become a great burden on my heart and I have come to a point where I have had enough of this. I have reached a point where I must speak out and do something to bring this heinious activity to an end.
I know that the Bible says that if we live for Jesus we will suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12). Here are two passages that tell us what faithful Christians can expect:
- John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
- Matt 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
I don’t believe that it is God’s purpose that we just sit back and say nothing about it. I believe that if their is a way to live in peace and to bring peace we ought to do everything we can to do it.
Just recently Fox New published an article saying that Christians killed for their faith nearly doubled in 2013. Open Doors, a nondenominational group tracking persecuted Christians worldwide, found that 2,123 Christians were killed last year due to their faith, compared to 1,201 in 2012. The vast majority of these killings occured in countries where Islam reigns. More than half of those reported killings (1,213) occurred in Syria, followed by Nigeria (612) and Pakistan (88).
I know that it is not just Islam that is persecuting Christians. For examle in North Korea an estimated 50,000 to 70,000 Christians live in concentration camps, prisons and prison-like circumstances under the regime of leader Kim Jong-Un.
We also know that Islam doesn’t limit it persecution just to Christians. We know that they have historically persecuted Hindus and Budists and other races. According to Bill Warner, who has analyzed Islam as a scientist, speaks of the tears of Jihad. In his researched he learned that Islam killed:
- 120 million Africans.
- 60 million Christians
- 80 million Hindus
- 10 million Buddhist
- Countless number of Jews
In total 270 million dead due to Islam and in the name of Allah.
Author John Allen, in his new book “The Global War on Christians”, said, “From Iraq and Egypt to Sudan and Nigeria, from Indonesia to the Indian subcontinent, Christians in the early 21st century are the world’s most persecuted religious group” It seems that Christians are at the top of the menu for Islam’s persecution.
According to the secular organization the “International Society for Human Rights”, “80 percent of violations of religious freedom in the world today are directed against Christians.”
The persecution of Christians in the Middle East has reached a point to where it has even caught the attention of Prince Charles. Over the Christmas season he said this has got to Stop. He went on to say that the Middle East is the birth place of Christianity and many Middle Eastern Christians are being forced from their homes and forced from their countries in the name of Islam.
A Front Page Magazine article reported that “in just one month, Muslim Brotherhood loyalists in Egypt burned and attacked more than 73 churches, attacking and burning hundreds of Christian-owned houses, properties, schools, businesses.” They also reported that “Syrian rebels attacked the historic Christian city of Maaloula, damaging churches, properties and forcing the Christians out; a church in Peshawar, Pakistan was blown up by Jihadi terrorists, leading to the killings of approximately 89 people and countless injuries.”
A Catholic nun has been documenting the persecution of Christians. She released a video on YouTube documenting that many women have been captured and raped and held for ransom and other unspeakable things at the hands of Muslims. All of this in the name of Allah.
Probably one of the most heinious atrocities she documented that is being commited by Muslims is that they are bottling the blood of Christians and selling it. The nun revealed that Muslims are butchering Christians, draining their blood in bottles, and selling each bottle for $100,000 to Muslims in Saudi Arabia who take it to wash their hands in Christian blood, with the belief that it atones for their sins.
In all of my years in researching Islam I have never heard of this type of practice before. This is occultic and has taken Islam to a new depth of horror. This gives Revelation 17:6 new meaning, “And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” How depraved this religion is.
When are we going to stand up and say we have had enough? When are we going to say this has God to stop?
I have reached a place where I am agonizing over this to the point where I am loosing sleep. It is my hope and desire that the voice of Fortress of Faith might be able to lend some help and move us to action to bring this to an end.
The Bible, in Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
I am coming to you today asking for your help. I am asking you for your counsel. I believe that it is wrong for us, as Christians, to remain silent and not speak out on this issue.
I know that the Bible tells us to turn the other cheek, but what are we to do when we turn the other cheek and they hit us then? Do we keep turning the other cheek, or do we come to a time where we say enough is enough? Here at Fortress of Faith we are going to stand up and speak out against this.
I have been working on some ideas and some strategies to move the Christians in North America to speak out against this activity. I need your help to get your ideas, your thoughts, and your input. We have a new phone number, a message and comment line, where you can call and leave us a message and share your views and thoughts. The number is 530 517-5638.
I know we are not going to build Rome in a day. This is going to take some planning, some working out of strategies, some organization to get this up and going. Over a year ago we held a rally in Vancouver, BC and we had a wonderful turnout. The rally was calling attention to these types of atrocities at the hands of Islam. Many of you came and lent your support to this. It is going to take Christians getting out of their comfort zones, putting on their shoes, coming out of their doors and coming into the streets sharing their united voice to bring attention to this. I know that it will be much more difficult to continue these atrocities if the world’s attention is focused upon them. It may not stop it completely, but it will make it much more difficult for them.
I need your help in devising a plan, a strategy that will help us speak out against these things. Again, the number to call with your thoughts and comments is 530 517-5638. Try to be brief. If the number is busy call back later in the day. You can also email me at [email protected].org.
