Listen to today’s broadcast:
Earlier this month I mentioned some things that came out of Iran that are reason concern. They were from a person who was in the CIA who wrote an article on the Daily Caller which takes a couple of quotes from some military leaders in Iran. Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami said in a televised interview. “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.” He also said, “We will conduct such a blow in which they [America] will be destroyed from within,”
He also talked about some of the Hezbollah forces that they have already planted inside the US. This shouldn’t surprise those of you who follow Fortress of Faith since we have been reporting on this for some time. Hezbollah has been setting up forces near our southern coast in Mexico. Many of them have been blending in with the Mexicans and are pouring into our country from the southern border. Our intelligence and security forces have captured and deported some of them. Our nation has become vulnerable because we have not sealed our borders.
In the same report the chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, addressing Secretary of State John Kerry, said on Jan. 24 that a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.” He also said, ““Your threats to revolutionary Islam are the best opportunity,” Jafari had said. “Muslim leaders for years have been preparing us for a decisive battle.… Do you know how many thousands of revolutionary Muslims at the heart of the Islamic revolutionary groups around the world are awaiting for you to take this [military] option from the table into action?”
Here are some other things I have not covered before. The new President in Iran has made it clear that Iran’s nuclear program will last forever. Tom Gross has an article on the Mideast Dispatch Archive that goes into detail on this. He also has a link to a video from Iranian TV that aired last weekend showing a simulated attack on Israel using drones.
Iran is now sending two of its warships into the Atlantic to be off the Coast of the US. Here is what John Bolton had to say on Fox News, “Iran has reason to feel good… the November agreement from Geneva. …that agreement represents a significant victory for Iran. They made temporary, easily reversible concessions on their nuclear program. They’ve broken through the Western regime of International sanctions and the sending of the two warships is a political signal to United States and the other countries in the region that Iran feels good and that they are trying to project power……They do not feel constrained by us or by the international sanctions.”
What happened in Geneva was a very critical moment. We showed weakness and we played to the hand of the Iranians. They now feel that their moment has arrived. Here is what an Iranian Admiral had to say, “The US can expect heavy losses at sea should it attack Iran.” This was reported in an article in the Jerusalem Post.
We are hearing constantly from Iran’s military leaders, not their political leaders, that they are ready for an attack. What does this tell us? It tells us that they are getting ready for war. Before nations go to war they start their “trash talk.”
Instead of communicating strength, the US has been communicating weakness. In the right column of our website we have a quote from Bernard Lewis of Princeton University which says, “The forces working against us are very powerful and well entrenched. And one of the greatest dangers is that on their side they are firm and convinced and resolute. Whereas on our side we are weak and undecided and irresolute. And in such a combat, it is not difficult to see which side would prevail.”
Bernard Lewis is probably America’s greatest expert on the Middle East. He knows what he is talking about. What a shame we don’t listen to men like him.
For a moment let us imagine that it is the 1930’s. Hitler is at the helm in Germany and Nazism is growing. There are some people who can see the danger, men like Winston Churchill, who called out the alarm. There were others like Nicolas Chamberlain, who said we didn’t need to listen to these “fear mongers”, we don’t have anything to worry about. History has proven whose assessment was right, has it not?
When England was in trouble they turned to Churchill. Since he saw the problem, they thought that he could lead them out of the trouble. What a great leader he proved to be.
Had they heeded the warning perhaps the hundreds of thousands of who were killed in WWII would not have perished. If only they had listened to those who were watching and understood what was going on.
In my opinion Winston Churchill was a brilliant man. He had a lot of wisdom. In his early years he was stationed in Africa in the Army. It was there that he first encountered Islam (Mohammedanism). Here is what he had to say about Islam:
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property ‹either as a child, a wife, or a concubine ‹must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslem’s may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science‹the science against which it had vainly struggled‹the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
We had better wake up to this fact: The world of Islam feels that their moment to take over the world is arriving. I don’t think they are going to wait for a nuclear warhead, I think they see weakness and they are going to attack soon.
I may be wrong, I am not a prophet, nor a son of a prophet, but I cannot see, from where I am sitting, how we can avoid war.
