Christian Apologetics toward Islam and Missions to Muslims

Engaging Muslims With The Gospel

Listen to today’s broadcast:

Engaging Muslims With The GospelOn yesterday’s broadcast I started playing portions of a broadcast Shahram Hadian and I recorded for our Saturday broadcast on American Family Radio. Shahram is a former Muslim from Iran. My purpose for playing his testimony is to show that Muslims can, and do, get saved. It helps us in taking the Gospel to them if we know a little about how Muslims think.

I want to play more of this broadcast and Shahram will be sharing some powerful things with us which will help us understand how Muslims think. Again, I think it is better for you to listen to the broadcast rather than my typing out a transcript so please click on the player above and listen. I will make some comments where I feel it is appropriate.

Shahram made the point that we don’t need to be experts on Islam to share the Gospel with Muslims. We just need to seize the opportunity when it is presented and follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. As with the girl who shared the Gospel with him, we need to pray for God’s guiding and when we don’t know the answers, put something like a CD, DVD, book, or tract in their hands that will give them an answer. We have material you can use at reasonable prices on our website.

One thing that we need to remember when taking the Gospel to a lost person, whether he is a Muslim or not, is that it is the Holy Spirit that does the work in his heart. We are only tools in the hands of the Holy Spirit.

As the Muslim population grows, and it is growing rapidly, we have more opportunities to reach out to them. We live in a country that, for now, allows us to do so without being in danger.

We can’t send missionaries to most Muslim countries. God is bringing Muslims to us so we can reach them here where it is still safe to do so. Many of the Muslims who come to North America are doing so to get away from the tyranny of Islam. Most of the Muslims in the world are what we call Cultural Muslims. They are born into the Islamic culture, but they don’t practice or even understand their faith. This give us an opportunity to reach them with the Gospel.

As you listen to the broadcast I want you to pay attention to what Shahram says about Pastor Mark, another converted Muslim from Iran. This story will show you how capricious the god of Islam is. A Muslim’s prayers must be said in Arabic, and they must be said with the right accent.

The only assurance of Paradise for a Muslim is to die as a martyr for Allah. If they live their lives as a good Muslim Allah might allow them in, but the only sure way is to die as a martyr.

Christianity, on the other hand, has the assurance that all who come to Christ in faith receive eternal life and are guaranteed entrance into Heaven.

Jesus said, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” John 11:25

He also said “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Which God would you rather follow, the one that says maybe or the one that guarantees you of Heaven? If we have the courage to approach Muslims we will win some of them. We can’t expect to win all of them any more than we can expect to win all of the other lost people in this world.

To help you with reaching Muslims we have a course on Engaging Muslims With The Gospel that you can get from the on-line store on our website. In this course you will learn how to build bridges to Muslims and communicate the Gospel in a meaning full way.

This Four hour course comes with a MP3 Audio CD. It includes a 90 plus page lesson book. in this course you will learn some Christian apologetics and polemics in dealing with Islam. Various methods are taught for your to choose from. One such method is a method Tom developed, he calls it the “Moses Road”. As Muslims reject the teachings of Paul the “Romans Road” is not the best method. The Moses Road stays in the Torah and the Gospels which Muslims accept as Scripture.

Eighty percent of the Muslims who have come to North America are not practicing Islam and many have come here to get away from the tyranny of Islam. Muslims are eager to hear if only Christians will engage them.
