Christian Apologetics toward Islam and Missions to Muslims

Islam In Prophecy – Part 3

Listen to today’s broadcast:

Meriam Ibrahim releasedBefore I get into the subject of Islam in Prophecy I want to talk about the Sudanese woman who was sentenced to death for converting to Christianity. This story shows the true face of scriptural Islam. By “scriptural Islam” I mean those who follow the true teaching of the Islamic scriptures. In Islam there is a law that says leaving Islam is a capital offense. One of the early leaders in Islam even said that if it were not for these apostasy laws Islam would have died out.

Meriam Ibrahim was sentenced to death for becoming a Christian. Because she was pregnant the sentence was delayed until after she gave birth. An appeals court dismissed the case and she was released. This shows what Christians can do if they will lift up their voices together. When God’s people stand up and be the salt and light they are supposed to be they can influence events in the world.

She has now been re-atrested along with her husband and children. The hardliners, the scriptural Muslims government officials, arrested her claiming she had falsified documents. This is probably a trumped up charge. We will have to see how this plays  out. We know that there is no safety for this family as long as they remain in the Sudan. Let’s continue to pray for her and her family.

Here are the notes for the third section of our series on Islam in Prophecy.

(Editor’s note – In today’s broadcast we will look at Islam in prophecy. We need to understand that prophecy, looking forward, is like looking through a fog. The major points are reasonably clear, but the details are difficult to discern. The closer we get to the events, the more clear the details become. Looking back the details become absolutely clear and we see that only God could have predicted them with such accuracy.

The views expressed in this broadcast are the views of Walid Shoebat and are not necessarily those of Fortress of Faith. I don’t say this, not to discredit his views, but to say that there may be some details that we disagree with. I want to emphasize that what Walid has to say is well worth listening to and studying out for yourself.

Some of the things we will be looking at today may be completely new to some of you. You may even take issue with some things you will hear. That is fine. We are trying to discern the details of some pretty cryptic language. We, in America, look at prophecy through the filter of our western culture. As Walid talks to us about prophecy, he is looking at it through his middle eastern culture. We need to remember that the Bible is a middle eastern book.

Listen carefully to the broadcast and then take some time to search the Scriptures to see what fits. If you find some things that you don’t think fits do as when you eat chicken, eat the meat and spit out the bones. The most important thing is to listen with an open mind and don’t reject something just because it is different from what you have been talk. Remember, much of prophecy is written in symbolic language, and symbols can me seen differently by different people.)

shoebatIs the Vatican, or the Catholic system the false prophet?

Catholicism worships a woman, Mary. Islam hates women. Remember that there is enmity between the seed of Satan and the woman.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15

The beast is the system of Antichrist while the false prophet is the Antichrist.

Both Muhammad and Mahdi are prophets who came to refute Christ. This is peculiar to Islam.

Antichrist is not a false christ, he is anti (against) Christ.

The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim. Isaiah 21:13

Listen to what precedes this burden of Arabia.

And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. Isaiah 21:9

We are not saying that Catholicism is the true Christian faith, we are talking about whether or not it is the Antichrist system.
