Listen to today’s broadcast:
Start by watching the following:
None of you are ignorant of what is happening in the Middle East. The war between Israel and Hamas has heated up again.
It is interesting to note that it is the month of Ramadan. This is supposed to be a holy month, a time of peace, in the Islamic world. I believe that Israel is holding back because of their respect for this holiday. It is true that Israel has responded to the missiles that have been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli cities, but this response has not been all that it could be. Although I will not make a prediction that it will happen, I will not be surprised if there is a ground offensive against Hamas.
This image pretty much explains the new media/s attitude toward the conflict in the Middle East.
Notice that the news says nothing until Israel retaliates. Does this seem a little biased to you? It does to me. This is typical of the news media. They hardly report on the atrocities committed by the Muslims against the Jews, but when Israel responds in kind, they are all over it. They paint Israel as the “big bully” in the Middle East. The hypocrisy of the majority of the news media is deafening.
Not only is the news media biased, but so is the United Nations. They paint Israel the villain in the area. They say that Hamas and the Palestinians are the victims.
Understanding why there is a Middle East problem is easy, the solution should also be easy, but it is not. Watch this video to see it explained in clear terms.
Lets take some time to talk about Hamas because it is the group waging the war against Israel. We need to understand where this group is coming from. They started in 1988. Their charter clearly identifies them as the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. If you follow Fortress of Faith you already know who the Muslim Brotherhood is. If you don’t check out our blog post “Exposing The Muslim Brotherhood.” While the Muslim Brotherhood has different organizations through out the world (CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, NAT, etc.) , their main work against Israel is under the flag of Hamas.
Lets look at the Hamas Charter. Hamas was formed for one purpose, to see the destruction of Israel. Their moto is “We love death more than Israel loves life.”
According to Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League:
“The Hamas credo is not just anti-Israel, but profoundly anti-Semitic with racism at its core. The Hamas Charter reads like a modern-day ‘Mein Kampf.’”
He is referring to Hitler’s book and his plan to destroy the Jews.
The preamble states:
″Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it″
There are 32 articles in this charter: (Source: Wikipedia)
Article 1 describes the Movement’s program as “Islam”
Article 2 of Hamas’ Charter defines Hamas as a “universal movement” and “one of the branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine
Article 3 the Movement consists of “Muslims who have given their allegiance to Allah”.
Article 5 Demonstrates its Salafist roots and connections to the Muslim brotherhood.
Article 6 Hamas is uniquely Palestinian, and “strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine”
Article 7 describes Hamas as “one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders” and links the movement to the followers of the religious and nationalist hero Izz ad-Din al-Qassam.
Article 8 The Hamas document reiterates the Muslim Brotherhood’s slogan of “Allah is its goal, the Prophet is the model, the Qur’an its constitution, jihad its path, and death for the sake of Allah its most sublime belief.”
Article 9 adapts Muslim Brotherhood’s vision to connect the Palestinian crisis with the Islamic solution and advocates “fighting against the false, defeating it and vanquishing it so that justice could prevail”.
Article 11 Palestine is sacred (waqf) for all Muslims for all time, and it cannot be relinquished by anyone.
Article 12 affirms that “Nationalism, from the point of view of the Islamic Resistance Movement, is part of the religious creed” .
Article 13 There is no negotiated settlement possible. Jihad is the only answer
Article 14 The liberation of Palestine is the personal duty of every Palestinian.
Article 15 “The day that enemies usurp part of Muslim land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Muslim”. It states the history of crusades into Muslim lands and says the “Palestinian problem is a religious problem”.
Article 20 Calls for action “by the people as a single body” against “a vicious enemy which acts in a way similar to Nazism, making no differentiation between man and woman, between children and old people”.
Article 22 Makes sweeping claims about Jewish influence and power.
Article 28 Conspiracy indictment against “Israel, Judaism and Jews”.
Article 31 Describes Hamas as “a humanistic movement”, which “takes care of human rights and is guided by Islamic tolerance”. “Under the wing of Islam”, it is possible for Islam, Christianity and Judaism “to coexist in peace and quiet with each other”.
Article 32 Hamas condemns as co-plotters the “imperialistic powers”
Hamas makes not effort to hide who they are and what their purpose is. Article 5 demonstrates its Salafist roots. This means that they want to return to the founding principles of Islam. During the Ottoman Empire their was a liberalizing of Islam. This weakened Islam just like the liberalization of Christianity is weakening Christianity today.
As many Christians have moved way from the “thus saith the Lord” of Scripture, much of Islam moved away from the “thus saith Allah” of the Islamic scriptures. Salafism is the return to these fundamental teachings of the founders of Islam. This movement began in the 1920’s.
Article 7 says that Hamas is against the “Zionist invaders. They always paint the Israelis as the occupiers, the invaders their land. We have done a 5 part series on who owns the land on this site. You can read it starting here. The Bible makes it clear that the land belongs to the seed of Isaac, not Ishmael.
Article 8 gives the long version of the motto I mentioned above. One reason this is so easily carried out by Muslims is the teaching that the only way to guarantee entrance into Paradise is to die as a martyr for Allah.
Muslims taunt Israel with their slogan “We love death more than the Jews love life.” They put it on TV and other means of propaganda.
One of the biggest contrasts between Islam and Christianity is that in Christianity our God died for us to guarantee our entrance into Heave. Is Islam one must die for their god for the same guarantee.
Article 13 says, “There is no negotiated settlement possible.” This article makes in impossible for Hamas, who now governs Gaza, to negotiate for peace with Israel.
I want to close with two questions; If Israel decides tomorrow not to fight again and lay down their arms, what would happen? There would be no more Israel. On the other hand, what would happen if the Arabs would say we are not going to fight any more, we are going to lay down our arms, what would happen? There would be peace. This says everything!
