Fortress of Faith

Christian Apologetics toward Islam and Missions to Muslims

The Foundations of Islam – Part 5

As we look at the foundations of Islam we are looking closely at the Prophet of Islam because he is the source and example of Islam. We must learn to separate the Muslim as a person from Islam. Islam means submission, and the goal of Islam is to bring the world into submission to Allah. Muslim means the submitted one. We should not blame Muslims they are the first victims of Islam and need to be rescued.

Islam is our enemy because it is opposed to our whole way of life. It is incompatible with liberty and freedom. It is opposed to the teachings of Christianity and is on a mission to destroy it.

MuhammadExposing The False Prophet – Part 2

Last week we started exposing Muhammad as a false prophet. Today we are going to continue on the same subject because there is so much more we need to know. Remember our goals at Fortress of Faith; to resist Islam, to reach Muslims for Christ, and to see revival in Christian churches. If we are to accomplish the first two goals we must understand the source of Islam, and Muhammad is the source. The Qur’an was given to him alone. There were no other witnesses. Muslims are commanded to follow his example and do what he did. Without an understanding of Muhammad it is impossible to understand Islam.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, including here in the United States. We need to be aware of what it is and what its goals are. It is the enemy of our way of life. It is an ideology of oppression and violence. It has been that way from the beginning and those who want a gentler Islam want an Islam that is not the religion started by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad.

The name of our ministry, Fortress of Faith, comes from Jeremiah 6:2:

I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.

We are a watchman in the tower looking over the horizon and we see an enemy coming. It is our responsibility to call out the warning to God’s people that we may know the enemy and try or test its way.

In the Bible we are told that there will be false prophets and that the Devil can appear as an angel of light and that many will be deceived. We are trying the spirit of Islam as we are commanded in 1 John 4:1.

Our greatest desire for Muslims is that they learn the truth and come to Christ for Salvation. The good news is that they can be reached if we get them into the Bible. There are many Muslims leaving the false teachings of Islam and coming to Christ for salvation.

Now let’s get into our subject of exposing the false prophet of Islam, Muhammad. Everything in Islam rises and falls on this man.

My co-host on our Saturday broadcast, Shahram, is a former Muslim who came to the US and has become a Christian. He still has family that is caught up in this false religion. He is now a Christian pastor and is exposing the false teachings of Islam.

Last week we looked at the life history of Muhammad. He is the only one who ever got revelation from the jin (genie).

We started by looking at Arabia pre-Islam and saw the conditions that led to the rise of Islam. We also looked at his family and how it was steeped in paganism. We saw that his family was the maintainer of the Kaaba where 360 idols were housed and that they worshiped the moon god, sometimes called Allah.

We looked at what happened when Muhammad went to seek the true God. He had a visitation by what he believed to be a demon. It was only after convincing from his wife and some other sources that this was from God. What he was given was a direct contradict to everything given in the Bible. Most importantly this jin contradicted everything the Bible says about the Lord Jesus Christ.

As I have already mentioned, we are to try the spirits to see if they are of God. We are also told the basis of that testing is what the spirit says about Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

As you can see from this passage, any spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is a spirit of antichrist. Islam denies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God come in the flesh and is, therefore, a spirit of antichrist.

We saw last week that for the first 13 years of Muhammad’s ministry, that period where he tried to spread his new faith peacefully, he only had td most 150 converts. After he was run out of Mecca and went to Medina he became a warlord, He robbed caravans and amassed great wealth. He used the sword to force his new religion on others and used his revelations to get his followers to kill those who would not submit.

As Muhammad became more violent in his practice the revelations changed. To explain this change the doctrine of abrogation was developed. It teaches that as long as Muslims don’t have the power to force their religion on others they are to live in peace with them. Once their influence grows to the point where they can use force the peaceful passages of the early revelations are abrogated, or superseded, by the later revelations which teach the destruction of all unbelievers.

In Medina, using the sword, Muhammad gained some 100,000 followers and returned to Mecca. By the sword he destroyed all of the idols in the Kaaba except one, the black “moon stone” and set up Islam as a monotheistic religion. Anyone who resisted was killed.

Last week we asked if Muhammad looked like a godly man, or did he look more like a man who was demon possessed? I think the answer is obvious. There is nothing in what he said or did that resembles in any way a prophet of the true God.

One thing that shows the importance of the ministry of Fortress of Faith is what we don’t hear in the discussion of Islam on the news channels. No one goes back and looks at the actions and words of Muhammad. No one mentions the beheading of 600 to 900 Jews in Medina which he commanded and supervised. No one mentions the other things he did, some of which we will look at today, that are practiced by the “radical” Islamists today. No one mentions that they are just following the example of the founder of Islam, there Prophet, Muhammad.

Today we will see that he was involved in pedophilia. He used lies and deception to advance his cause. He used mass murder to eliminate his enemies and strike fear in the hearts of his followers.

These things must be exposed because Muslims, even if they do see these things, are commanded not to question their religion. If they do they become unbelievers and Allah can send them to Hell.

Let’s pick up the story by looking at his wives. This “godly” man clearly was not happy with just one wife. His first wife was Khadija. This was a monogamous marriage that lasted for 20 years. From this marriage they had at least one child, a daughter named Fatima. He hear a lot about her in the Hadiths because she shares a lot of Muhammad’s life.

After the death of Khadija Muhammad starts taking multiple wives. Not only did he take many wives, he took many sex slaves. He tells his people that they can have up to four wives. They were limited to four but he had at least eighteen.

Muhammad had a slave that he later adopted as a son. The son had a wife that Muhammad fancied. In other words he coveted his son’s wife which is a violation of the last of the Ten Commandments. When his son realized that Muhammad wanted his wife he divorced her and the Prophet marries her and conveniently Muhammad gets permission to do that in Surah 33.

How convenient it is toe be the “prophet” and to have Allah justify everything that he does. We should all have a problem with this. Does this sound like a righteous, holy man who is being used by the true God?
