Christian Apologetics toward Islam and Missions to Muslims

Dedication to Christ – Part 2

LoveOfGodAs I said yesterday, I am in a missions conference this week. One of the goals of Fortress of Faith is to rescue Muslims from Islam. They have been blinded by the false teaching of a false religion. Islam is a threat to those of us outside of Islam, but it is also a threat to Muslims, it is sending them to Hell because it teaches false things about Jesus Christ. It teaches that Jesus was just a man, He was not God. It takes away His sacrifice for mankind because it teaches that He did not die on the cross. This also means that it teaches that He didn’t rise from the grave. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. He did die on the cross, was resurrected, and is coming again.

We have started a sister ministry called Missions to Muslims Network. It is our desire to set up Muslim Evangelism Centers in the ten major population centers in America and the three major population centers in Canada. We have ten major cities with more than 50,000 Muslims, and some with as many as a half a million, like New York City. Pray for us as we launch out with this new ministry. This is the reason I am in this mission conference, and I am scheduling more to raise support for Missions to Muslims Network. I am also praying that God would send me a partner, someone who has a background in missions, to help with the fundraising and administration needs.

In Matthew Chapter 9 it says:

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. (Matthew 9:35-38)

The point of this passage is that there is so much work to be done, and so few laborers to do it. Jesus gives us the solution to the problem. We are to pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He will send laborers to do the work.

Reaching the world for Christ almost seems like an impossible task. God has given us this task, and if we fail, people die and go to Hell. I really want this to grab you today. Our job is to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ out to the whole world so they can learn what God has done for them. We are to give them the opportunity to have their sins forgiven, to have a home in Heaven, and to have the blessings of God bestowed upon them. If they repent and trust in Jesus Christ, they can be saved and become children of God.

The harvest is truly great, but there are so few to bring it in. I am not a farmer, but I do know that if you don’t bring in the harvest, you loose it. You can’t say to the apples, hold on, we will get to you next year. The time is short. The Bible says that our lives are but a vapor, they appear for a little while, and then vanish. There is fruit for the picking, if we have the laborers.

I want to challenge you to begin to pray the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers. I challenge you to pray for a week that God will send forth laborers into the harvest. I wonder how many are really praying for lost souls. This is something we are commanded to do. Let me warn you that if you pray that sincerely for a week, something will probably happen to you. You will realize that you are willing to ask God to send others to labor in the fields, but why not you? I believe that most people don’t pray this way because it is convicting. It makes us a hypocrite because we pray that God will send someone when we are not willing to go ourselves.

Let me tell you about the Moravians. These people truly gave their lives to their Lord. They gave their hands to do His work, their feet to go where He sent them, their mouths to say what He wanted them to say.

We read of the faith of the great missionaries of the past. The Moravians were burdened to the souls of the slaves on the Caribbean islands. Only certain people could go to these islands, and the they asked how they could get there to reach these slaves. A couple of them, Johan Dobber and David Nightsman, surrendered their lives to go to these people. Their plan was to sell themselves as slaves so they could minister among the slaves. What faith! What sacrifice! What dedication to the cause of Christ!

When we read of the Apostle Paul, he was so burdened tor reaching the Jews that he was willing to be accursed himself.

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: (Romans 9:1-3)

He was so concerned about his brothers according to the flesh, that he was willing to be accursed to Hell himself.

Do we have men and women today who have this same dedication to Christ and to His Gospel? Are there those that have such love for Christ and for the lost world that they would have this same willingness to pay the price needed to reach the lost?

People often say to me that they are amazed at my willingness to say what I say about Islam with the dangers that comes with this type of ministry. I don’t want to sound like I have a false humility, but to me, this is nothing for the cause of Christ. It is nothing compared to what He has done for me.

Truth is truth, and I must proclaim what what is true. I must expose what is false. If doing so means that people threaten my life, that is nothing.

Here is what these missionaries said as the boat was leaving the dock for the islands. They cried out to their families, “May the Lamb that was slain, receive the reward of His suffering.” They gave praise to God that they might be counted worthy to suffer for Christ.

Would to God that we had people like this today. I do believe there are some. We saw some in yesterday’s broadcast.

As Obama leaves office, and Trump moves in to make America great again, I say let’s make America Christian again.
