I want to analyze President Trump’s speech in Saudi Arabia. Both President Obama and President Trump spoke to the Arab world. Obama went to Egypt, the largest Arab country in the world, and spoke at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. This is the premiere university in the Arab world. He chose those who sat in the front row at his speech, and he chose the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. This signaled who he supported politically in Egypt. About two years after the speech there was a coup d’etat in Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood came to power.
President Trump chose to got to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He gave a 34 minute speech. It was completely different in tone from the speech given by Obama in Egypt. Trump said we need to end terrorism, and we need to parter with the Muslim nations.
Obama’s message was, we need more understanding, and we apologize to the Muslim world for America’s mistakes. There was no real talk about the end of terrorism.
I want to quote some of President Trump’s speech in case you missed it. Some of it was very good, but I wish he had gone further in some parts.
A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and extremists. Drive. Them. Out.
DRIVE THEM OUT of your places of worship.
DRIVE THEM OUT of your communities.
DRIVE THEM OUT of your holy land, and
DRIVE THEM OUT OF THIS EARTH.
He was appealing to the Muslim nations to take on the responsibility to get rid of Islamic extremism. He continued:
Today, billions of faces are now looking at us, waiting for us to act on the great question of our time.
Will we be indifferent in the presence of evil?
Will we protect our citizens from its violent ideology?
Will we let its venom spread through our societies?
Will we let it destroy the most holy sites on earth?
If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and YOUR SOUL WILL BE CONDEMNED.
This sounds good to us, but to the Muslim mind it is different. They have been taught that if they go after unbelievers, and if they die in the process, they are not going to be condemned, they will get immediate entrance into Paradise, and they will receive all kinds of blessings. Part of the problem with our government officials is that they don’t understand the religion of Islam.
If we do not confront this deadly terror, we know what the future will bring—more suffering and despair.
it means standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians.
Cut off their Funding
As we deny terrorist organizations control of territory and populations, we must also strip them of their access to funds.
I am proud to announce that the nations here today will be signing an agreement to prevent the financing of terrorism, called the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center — co-chaired by the United States and Saudi Arabia, and joined by every member of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Saudi Arabia also joined us this week in placing sanctions on one of the most senior leaders of Hezbollah.
I also applaud Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon for their role in hosting refugees. The surge of migrants and refugees leaving the Middle East depletes the human capital needed to build stable societies and economies. Instead of depriving this region of so much human potential, Middle Eastern countries can give young people hope for a brighter future in their home nations and regions.
Let me say that Jordan is the only nation that has welcomed the Christian refugees.
President Trump picked up on an important point. The Middle East has lost a lot of laborers that are needed to build stable societies and economies. The Muslim young men who have fled into Europe from the Middle East and North Africa, may not necessarily want to bring jihad. It may be that they know they will be better off in Europe. Any nation that is in the clutches of Islam has very little prosperity.
The only Muslim nations that have had any kind of prosperity are the oil rich nations like Saudi Arabia. It is not because of Islam’ scientific advances, or Islamic governments, it is because they copied technology from the west, especially America. American oil companies developed the oil business for them, and we also became rich in America because of this cooperation. They should be thanking America instead of attacking us.
These Arab nations are handing out passports like candy and trying to flood Europe with Muslims. Many of them came just looking for a better life. This has left a void in the Middle East and they don’t have the human resources to develop their nations.
Listen to what Winston Churchill had to say on the subject of Islamic advancement:
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.
The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities – but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.

The point he is making is that as we look at the nations that are controlled by Islam and Islamic government, they are left wanting. Their systems are, at best, rudimentary and inefficient. This is do to the totalitarian type of government. The more educated people become, the greater threat they are to those in power. This is why two thirds of the Muslim world is illiterate. Most of them have a very limited education, if they have any at all. They keep the religion in a language that most of the Muslims in the world can’t understand. Only about fifteen percent of the Muslims speak Arabic. Most Muslims are in Asia. They memorize prayers and certain phrases to recite, but they do not know what they mean.
Like all dictators, Islamic leaders keep their people in poverty so they can control them. If you doubt this, just look at those nations that are run by totalitarian dictators.
