Myth No. 5 Muhammad received revelations from the Angel Gabriel.

600 years before Muhammad drew breath, God warned us that their would be false prophets. We were told to be alert and careful as the deception will be great. Even the devil has the power to appear as an angel of light.
II Cor 11:14
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore, it behooves us to examine the claims of Muhammad that he was visited by an Angel of God while he was in the cave. Especially since the revelations from this Jinn, spirit being, are so different from the Biblical text.
One anomaly we see right off is that almost every time we see an Angelic messenger engaging an earthly man, they are afraid initially but comforted and told by the angel to not fear him and be at peace. This did not occur with Muhammad’s Jinn. In fact, we find that Muhammad believed that he was demon possessed and tried to kill himself. In the Sira, which is like scripture to Muslims, it says,
“I thought, Woe is me POET OR POSSESSED. Never shall Quraysh say this of me! I will go to the top of the mountain and throw myself down that I may kill myself and gain rest. So I went forth to do so and then, when I was midway on the mountain, I heard a voice from heaven saying ‘O Muhammad! thou are the apostle of God and I am Gabriel.” (Sira 153,154)
It was Kadisha, Muhammad’s first wife that persuaded him that he was not demon possessed. Finding him in a disturbed state she asked the prophet to let her know when the Jinn reappears to him. So when the Jinn appeared the Sira says,
“…the apostle said to Khadija, ‘This is Gabriel who has just come to me.’ ‘Get up, O son of my uncle,’ she said, ‘ and sit by my left thigh’. The apostle did so, and she said, ‘Can you see him?’ ‘Yes,’ he said. She said, ‘Then turn round and sit on my right thigh.’ He did so, and she said, ‘Can you see him?’ When he said that he could she asked him to move and sit in her lap. When he had done this she again asked if he could see him, and when he said yes. She disclosed her form and cast aside her veil while the apostle was sitting in her lap. Then she said, ‘Can you see him?’ And he replied, ‘No.’ She said ‘O son of my uncle, rejoice and be of good heart, by God he is an angel and not a satan.’ I told ‘Abdullah b Hasan this story and he said, ‘I heard my mother Fatima, daughter of Husayn, talking about this tradition from Khadija, but as I heard it she made the apostle of God come inside her shift, (sexual intercourse) and thereupon Gabriel departed, and she said to the apostle of God, “This verily is an angel and not a satan.” (No. 154)
From authoritative Muslim sources, it is clear that Muhammad had to be persuaded into believing that this Jinn was an Angel from Heaven and not a demon. This Jinn, who is called the Angel Gabriel is referred to as the angel of revelation. Muhammad never heard directly from God, the only source of revelation was this Jinn. Therefore, every Muslim is trusting that this Jinn was from God and their eternal destiny is based upon his revelation to Muhammad. Given just the Muslim sources, the credibility and surety is rather thin to say the least.

Myth No. 4 The Bible is Corrupted but the Qur’an is Pure

When using stringent methods of examination of the both the Biblical texts and the Qur’anic text, we find the Qur’an is coming up short. Muslims tell us that the Qur’an has been perfectly preserved and dates back to the 7th century yet the earliest manuscript they have presented is only 9th century, some 200 years after Muhammad. Furthermore, we know that there were seven oral Qur’ans before Uthman had ordered for the first Qur’an to be written and canonized.
From the scriptures of the Sunnah, we learn that there was trouble determining which oral Qur’an was the correct one. This is from the most authoritative source of the Hadith – Sahih Bukhari, Vol 6, Book 61, Number 510
“In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Qur’an, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, the Qur’an was revealed in their tongue….. Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur’anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.”
Here is blaring contradiction. They say that the god Allah is the author of both the Bible and the Qur’an and the Qur’an says that they make no difference between the Qur’an or the ‘Book’ (Bible).
Surah 2:136
“Say ye: “We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to all prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah in Islam.”
Yet, they tell us that the Bible has been corrupted but the Qur’an is still safe and pure from corruption. This begs the question, why was god Allah strong enough to preserve the Qur’an but not the Bible? After all, the Qur’an says that there is no difference between the between them, ‘the revelation give to us’ (the Qur’an) and ‘that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to all prophets from their Lord’ (the Bible).
Today, it has become a popular argument by Muslim apologist to say that the OT text was corrupted by the Jews and the NT text was corrupted by the Christians. Therefore, Allah had to correct it by giving man the Last Testament through Muhammad. (Sound similar to the Mormons?)
The amazing thing is that this was never taught in early Islam. Muhammad taught that it was only the doctrine that was corrupted, but not the text. He said that a section of Christians ‘distort’ the Bible with their tongues but he did not say or suggest that the text was corrupted.
Surah 3:78 “There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book;
In many placed the Qur’an teaches that the “Book” the OT and the NT was protected and preserved just as the Qur’an.
Surah 5:44-48 It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. …. for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah’s book, and they were witnesses thereto: …. 48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety:”
Surah 15:9 “We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).”
To conclude, the Qur’an has a questionable beginning. Seven versions floating around and it was given to common ordinary men to guess and debate which rendering was the correct one. Then to make matters worse, no can come behind them and with a scholarly examination, study to see if one rendering is better than another, or validate the canonized version.
The Bible has a far superior background and stands up to the most stringent test that any critic has ever laid upon it.

Myth No. 3 The Prophet Muhammad is greater than Jesus Christ

Muslims believe in Jesus, and revere him as a great prophet, but no prophet is greater than Muhammad. Every good Muslim will say at least three times a day when they pray, “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet.”
There is a great disconnect in Islam’s teaching here. In just looking at the Qur’an itself, it is clear that Jesus is greater than Muhammad.
Jesus was born of a Virgin. Muhammad was not.
Surah. 3:45-47
vs. 47 She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!
Jesus is called Holy sixteen times in the Qur’an, Muhammad was never called Holy.
Surah. 19:19 He said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
Jesus was without sin.
Sahih Muslim (Vol 4, pg 1261):
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (saw) as saying: The satan touches every son of Adam on the day when his mother gives birth to him with the exception of Mary and her son.
The Bible clearly makes in known that Jesus was without sin.
1 Peter 2:22; Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
2 Corinthians 5:21; For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Muhammad was a sinner.
Surah. 48:2 That Allah may forgive thee thy faults of the past and those to follow; fulfil His favour tothee; and guide thee on the Straight Way;
Bukhari, Vol 1,711
“…Muhammad replied, “I say, ‘O Allah, set me apart from my sins as the East and the West….clean me from my sins …”Bukhari Vol 8,319 “I heard Allah’s apostle saying, ‘by Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to him in repentance…”
Bukari Vol 8, 407 “O my Lord! Forgive my sins…”

Myth No. 2 Allah and Jehovah are the same God

Muslims believe that Allah was the God of Adam, Moses, David,Solomon and even Jesus.
But when you examine what the Qur’an teaches about Allah and what the Bible teaches about Jehovah, they cannot possibly be the same God. Let’s compare.
Allah – Does not love sinners.
Surah. 2:190 “Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.”
Surah 3:57 “As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allah will pay them (in full) their reward; but Allah loveth not those who do wrong.”
But Jehovah – Loves sinners.
John 3:16; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Allah – Does not have an incarnate son
Surah 39:4; Had Allah wished to take to Himself a son, He could have chosen whom He pleased out of those whom He doth create: but Glory be to Him! (He is above such things.) He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible.
Yet Jehovah has a Begotton Son (John 3:16)
Matt 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Clearly, Allah and Jehovah cannot be the same God. Allah is simple in his structure as he is one in one. While Jehovah is complex as he is three in one.

Popular Myth No. 1 - Islam is a Religion of Peace
Tony Blair, the former prim e minister of England, says that he reads the Qur’an and the Bible every day. He also said, “I have read the Qur’an three times and all I can find is peace and tolerance.”
I guess Mr Blair’s Qur’an is absent of verses like Surah 9:5
“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war).”
Or
Surah 9:29 “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”
Note that it did not say, fight those who fight you. No, they are to fight those who don’t believe as you.
There are 149 verses in the Qur’an that prescribe violence.
Like this one in Surah 8:12
“Smite you above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”
But what about the violence in the Old Testament? Yes, we will find violence in the OT and some of it is very graphic and at times no mercy is given at all. But the big difference is that the OT was DESCRIPTIVE about violence. The Qur’an is PRESCRIPTIVE about violence.
The OT records and ‘describes’ the accounts when God gave Israel orders to annihilate specific people at a specific time. It is ‘descriptive’ of a historical event. There are some Qur’anic passages that are descriptive too, but you will find most of the violence in the Qur’an, and especially the Sunnah, to be ‘prescriptive.’ In other words – it is PRESCRIBING the act of violence on the Kafir (non-Muslims) for all time.
A well known teaching of Islam is ‘Dar-al-Islam’ and ‘Dar-al-Harb.’ The house or realm of Islam (submission) or the house of war. You are either friend or foe, there is no middle ground.

Two Stories of how Muslims are Framing Christians for Blaspheming Islam.
1. Pakistan -
A 14-year-old Christian girl in Pakistan, Rimsha Masih, was arrested, accused of burning pages of a Quran. Rioting Muslims destroyed Christian homes and churches, tore Bibles to pieces and broke crosses, while calling for the death penalty against her. However, we come to learn that she was framed by a local Imam.
In a report from Raymond Ibrahim, we learn that Rimsha has been released. (Praise the Lord).
Because this story made it to the mainstream media, widespread international condemnation caused Pakistani authorities to release her recently, not by annulling Pakistan’s blasphemy law, but by finding loopholes, from characterizing the girl as retarded—Islamic law does not mandate punishment for blasphemers if they are retarded—to the unprecedented exposure of a Muslim cleric who framed her. We were told that a Egyptian Coptic Christian was responsible for making the infamous video that caused the riotous actions of Muslims in Egypt and Libya. However, according to Walid Shoebat, a former terrorist, the author of the video was a Muslim terrorist. Read his evidence here.

Muslims are trying to Deceive us into believing that they are Victims of abuse in the West

An Iraqi-born woman was beaten in her home in California and later died. A window was broken and a note left near the body read, “Go back to your own country, you’re a terrorist”. It was thought to be a hate crime. Now Police are wondering.
Shaima Alawadi, 32, a mother of five was found unconscious by her 17 year old daughter, in the dining room of the family’s home in El Cajon, California, at about 11:15 a.m. on March 21. Alawadi was taken off life support about 3 p.m. March 24. She died shortly thereafter.
The daughter who found her told KUSI Channel 9/51 her mother had been beaten in the head with a tire iron and a note near her mother stated, “Go back to your own country, you’re a terrorist”.
The family also told police they had received a similar threatening note several days earlier but considered it a prank by teenagers.
Let me state here that this is a brutal murder and regardless of what the investigation reveals, a 32-year-old mother of 5 was cruelly taken from her family. The death of Shaima Alawadi comes on the heels of the Trayvon Martin shooting and people throughout the country are taking sides over whether Trayvon was a victim of racism. Add to that the note left by Shaima’s body, and it’s no wonder that people right away start yelling “hate crime.”
On March 26, Jim Redman, the Chief of the El Cajon Police Department, held a 15-minute news conference, which lead to more questions than answers. His statement was less than two minutes long, the 14 remaining minutes was a question/answer session with the press.
Chief Redman explained, “Based on the contents of this note we are not ruling out the possibility this may be a hate crime.” He stated the note “was threatening in nature” but continued saying, “I want to stress there is other evidence in this case that we are looking at and the possibility of a hate crime is just one of the aspects of this investigation.”
Redman then stated, “Based on the evidence thus far, we believe this is an isolated incident.”
Red flag: How can this be an isolated incident if it was hate crime? Would the Chief make such a statement if he had evidence there were a person or persons running around murdering Muslims?
The first question was asked: “Could the note possibly be a red herring or possibly family members or something like that as well?” The answer that the Chief gave would remain the same for most of the questions,“I can’t get into that; I just have to maintain my statement that we are looking at all aspects of this case”.
Questions that followed attempted to get the Chief to reveal more to no avail. Chief Redman stuck to his initial statement. He acknowledged that all the family members had been interviewed, including the victim’s husband, and stated “We’re confident that we’ll be able to resolve this case.”
Another question: “If you think this is an isolated incident, or, how do you assure residents of El Cajon that they don’t need to be concerned if we don’t know a lot about this case?”
Chief Redman’s answer goes back to the red flag: “I wish I could reveal more, but I really can’t because it would compromise the investigation, but I just want to assure the citizens of El Cajon that we believe, we strongly believe that this was an isolated incident.”
